The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) is a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity made up of volunteer resources throughout Canada. The CCGA has been in existence since 1978 and provides support to the Canadian Coast Guard and National Defense with search and rescue and environmental response. Our volunteers also promote and support Transport Canadas Safe Boating Program through public outreach and education and assisting in checking aids to navigation.

Volunteers can also perform a wide range of other activities from humanitarian assistance, mechanical engineering and maintenance of vessels and equipment, coordination of fundraising and special events, and support media relations.
